About

A trusted partner advancing the maritime sector

We’re focused on three things: progress, performance, and long-term positioning.

Deliberately specialist

Specialising in maritime means we operate with accuracy and pace. You don’t need to worry about time lost on industry explanation or context-setting.

Value-obsessed

Every project is approached through a commercial lens. Working with Tide gives you confidence that all activities are aligned with growth, influence, or revenue.

Glasgow by design

We’re in the heart of a city shaped by shipbuilding and maritime innovation, with direct access to the people and institutions driving the sector forward.

Our approach

Built for how the industry actually works

Tailored, not template

Every maritime organisation operates differently. We take the time to understand how your business works before proposing anything. What we deliver will be shaped around your reality, rather than a ‘copy-and-paste’ template.

Comfortable with complicated

The maritime sector is rarely simple. Consortiums, multiple partners, and regulatory constraints are where we do our best work. We enjoy untangling complexity and turning it into something focused and achievable.

People first, always

Behind every organisation are people balancing responsibilities and expectations. We always stay accessible by keeping communication lines open, and appreciate that flexibility often matters just as much as the work.

Joining the dots

Strategy means very little if it doesn’t translate into delivery. We stay close to the work to ensure early decisions are reflected throughout the project. We treat and manage events, marketing, and creative work as a system.

We think commercially

At Tide, we’re not interested in activity that looks busy but goes nowhere. From events to campaigns, everything we do is evaluated for value - whether that’s revenue, influence, engagement, or long-lasting credibility.

Open and accountable

We’re upfront about what we’re doing and why. That includes being honest when something isn’t working or needs to change. At Tide, our focus is on doing the right thing for the project and the organisation.

Our Story

Tide was created after years spent working alongside maritime organisations that were doing the right things, but not seeing the results.

Too often, activity would exist in isolation from business strategy. Across ports and industry bodies, we repeatedly saw time and budget invested in campaigns that failed to deliver lasting value.

At Tide, we chose a different path.

We saw the potential for events to play a far more strategic role within maritime organisations and consortiums. Something commonly considered a ‘calendar fixture’ could instead become an engine for revenue and influence.

From there, marketing and creative activity naturally followed. We could see how clear positioning and consistent messaging would help these events and initiatives build momentum rather than exist as one-offs.

By staying deliberately small and sector-focused, we’re able to work closely with clients, think beyond individual projects, and take responsibility for results. We ask the hard questions at the outset to shape activity around what your organisation is truly trying to achieve.

Our model allows us to do the work properly and to help organisations move forward with precision and intent.

Sector first, future focused

The UK maritime sector is undergoing commercial, regulatory, and structural change.
New partnerships are forming, new priorities are emerging, and collaboration is increasingly essential to progress.

Tide exists to support this shift.

We’re maritime-literate across ports, shipping, offshore energy, and the wider maritime ecosystem. By understanding the macro environment and industry pressures, we can operate quickly without wasting time on context-setting.

We regularly work with board and executive level, coordinating across multiple stakeholders and managing initiatives where accountability is critical. That depth of industry knowledge enables us to add value fast and deliver work that stands up to industry scrutiny.

Everything we do is designed to achieve something tangible: revenue generation, influence, engagement, or growth.

"We're interested in getting to know our client's businesses on a deeper level, understanding what their business goals are and what success looks like, to enable us to be a truly valuable partner on that journey. It always comes back to value, put simply every project has to advance our client towards their overall goals. We never get complacent about that."
